1. Salsa Team Contest it is an international competition.
2. Choreography must contain at least 80% Salsa. Rueda de Casino is accepted as part of Salsa, but the proportion in the choreography should not exceed 15%.
3. Song for the contest must contain 80% Salsa.
4. Registered teams must consist in a minimum of 4 and maximum of 12 persons.
5. Scoring criteria are: musicality, technique, the difficulty , the connection and synchronization between partners & couples,, choreography, originality, stage presence.
6. Any lifts, tips and tricks designed to make the show spectacular are accepted.
7. The jury members are the international guests of the event.
8. Choreography should not last more than 3 minutes.
9. Can register in the competition only people who has week full pass, week party pass or weekend full pass .
10. Registration dead-line is July 10, 2019, and the fee is 15 Euro / person.
11. 1st place is awarded with , qualification for World Latin Dance Cup, USA !
12. If the 1st place at the Salsa Team division is won by a troup of Romanian citizens, besides the World Latin Dance Cup qualifier, the Romanian Dance Association will support for moving to the US with the sum of 1000 RON.

Dancers can choose to break on the “1” or the “2”, but must maintain a consistency throughout their performance. Marking only 1 and 5 or 2 or 6 is not considered as a full 8 counts of salsa timing. Marking the beats have to be clear and precise. The basic rhythm has to be mainly salsa, in combinations and in the shines part. Points will be deducted if these rules are not met.
Couples will demonstrate their ability to creatively work with the timing of their individual music. This can be done in a variety of ways, including patterns, footwork,” hits”, tricks, etc…Judges will evaluate the level of interpretation of the music chosen, the different nuance, breaks and accents the overall synchronisation of the dancers with the music.
Reflected through balance, placement and line. Movement should appear to be effortless.
The judges will score the complexity of the moves, footwork, tricks, shines, combinations, turns. For example, turns on one foot have a bigger difficulty degree than those on two feet on the ground.
Dancers must be synchronised every time the choreography was designed this way. This refers to moves, shines, combinations, lines, hands, feet, head, body, accents, breaks, etc. Any loss of sync leads to points being deducted.
The way the competitors present themselves: costumes, make-up, hair style, face expression, etc.
By enrolling in the contest, the participants give up the copyright on the entries in the contest.
The organizers do not take responsibility for any accidents that occurred during the competition, accidents caused by an unsuccessful evolution of the dancer, this responsibility being the responsibility of the couple’s representative.
The jury of the contest will include 4 or 5 specialists appointed by the organizer.
All decisions of the jury are final after the resolution of possible appeals and will be communicated by the jury president.
Appeals can be made within 48 hours after the contest is completed in writing at the “Romanian Dance Association” or by e-mail at romaniasalsaweek @ gmail.com, other means will not be considered.
The answer to the appeals will be announced within 14 calendar days of the filing date.
The jury has the freedom to consult and deliberate the final score after the jury finishes.
The jury president may amend the notes, with the agreement of all jurors, only if there is a very large difference between the jury’s grades for the same competitor.
Only after the competition is over, jury members can discuss with competitors about the decisions taken and competitors can access the arbitration papers (their arbitration lists, and not the other competitors).
Competitors are not allowed to raise their voices or behave in a non-sporting manner with any of the jury members or organizers.
If a situation of this kind occurs, the competitors involved will be disqualified.
The jury will be objective in the choices it will make, with a strictly professional attitude.
The jury will have the final say on all discrepancies, score scores, etc. All decisions are final.
PROCEDURE FOR VALIDATION AND RECEIPT OF PRIZES
All winners will be validated by counting the scores on the jury’s sheets.
The band that will accumulate the highest score is the winner of the competition.
The following prizes will be awarded for participating troops:
First Place – World Latin Dance Cup qualifier.
If the 1st place at the Salsa Team is won by a band consisting of Romanian citizens, besides the World Latin Dance Cup qualifier, the Romanian Dance Association will support the troop for moving to the US with an amount of 1000 Ron and Best Romanian Salsa Team Trophy .
The prize money will be awarded at the end of the contest.
The contest is open to the participation of all dancing lovers with their residence / residence both in and outside Romania, except members of the jury, as well as family members of all of them (children, siblings, siblings).
Awarding prizes will be a public event. Participating in the contest is the agreement that the names of the winners, their photos and the materials produced according to the requirements can be made public and used free of charge in audio, photo and video by the organizers. Winners of all prizes agree to sign a written statement with this effect as the organizer asks.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
The organizer undertakes to comply with the provisions of Law no. 677/2001 regarding the protection of personal data stored during the contest. As such, the organizer is committed in keeping safe the privacy of the participants / winners of this contest and use them according to the Official Rules and legislation.
The participants in the contest, as the persons concerned have, according to Law 677/2001, the following rights: the right to information (Article 12), right of access to information (article 13), the right to modify the data (Article 14 ) and the right to oppose (art. 15).
Simply contest and sending personal data to the organizer, participants agree to their data into the database of the organizer to be processed and used in the future solely organizer to inform participants about the new competitions and other information concerning efforts to promote dance and organizer of the festival.
At the request in writing to the participants, the organizer will not use their personal data.
